Recently, at the provincial coal mine intelligent construction promotion conference and the "Eight Hard Measures" lecture jointly held by the Shandong Bureau of the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau and the Shandong Energy Bureau, the relevant person in charge of the Shandong Bureau of the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau stated that this is mainly due to Shandong's adoption of the "Five New" strategy to promote coal mine intelligent construction.

Shandong's regulatory and supervisory departments at all levels, as well as coal mining enterprises, actively promote the intelligent construction of coal mines. The Energy Bureau of Jining City has established a special team for the intelligent transformation and improvement of coal mines, held multiple special meetings and on-site meetings, released relevant documents, and ensured the coordinated promotion of intelligent construction work. Local coal mines have also made positive progress in the innovative application of smart mining models.

Shandong Bureau and Shandong Provincial Energy Bureau adhere to the combination of problem oriented and goal oriented approaches, conduct in-depth research, and implement precise policies. Last year, the Shandong Provincial Bureau and the Shandong Provincial Energy Bureau jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Intelligent Construction of Coal Mines in Shandong Province", completing the evaluation of the intelligent construction conditions for 81 production coal mines in the province, and clarifying the timetable and roadmap for the intelligent construction of coal mines. This year, Shandong Bureau and Shandong Provincial Energy Bureau jointly issued a new work plan, giving priority to supporting the intelligent transformation project of coal mines and improving the safety guarantee level of mining equipment.

Let technological breakthroughs be achieved. In order to overcome the challenges of intelligent development, various coal mining enterprises, research institutions, and advanced technology research and development manufacturers in Shandong have concentrated their efforts on tackling them, and have developed a number of world leading intelligent core technology equipment. The typical application scenarios of mining robots selected by Shandong Provincial Bureau of Industry and Information Technology have been successfully selected as national typical cases. Shandong Energy Group has made significant progress in the innovation and application of complete sets of technology for safe and efficient digital mining of deep coal, and has cooperated with Huawei to achieve the first commercial application of the Pangu large model in the coal industry.

Let the demonstration construction present a new situation. Following the approach of "pilot exploration, summary and accumulation, and comprehensive promotion", Shandong has established intelligent demonstration models under different mining conditions. Six coal mines, including Rudongtan Coal Mine and Baodian Coal Mine, have passed the first batch of national intelligent demonstration mine acceptance. Yangcun Coal Mine and Binhu Coal Mine, which are engaged in thin coal seam mining, have achieved significant results in intelligent construction. Jinqiao Coal Mine has been selected as a benchmark coal mine in the national coal industry.

Make new progress in reducing personnel, improving efficiency, and increasing safety. Various coal mining enterprises in Shandong actively implement solutions such as replacing dangerous positions with robots, unmanned fixed positions, intelligent remote control, and AI identification of risk hazards, effectively reducing underground workers. Among them, Shandong Energy Group sets targets for coal mine controllers based on the occurrence conditions of coal seams. From the perspective of production efficiency improvement, Yangcheng Coal Mine has achieved a monthly excavation depth of 471 meters through the use of shield tunneling machines; Huayuan Coal Mine has shortened the belt running time from 16 hours per day to 4 hours per day through intelligent transformation. In terms of system security enhancement, Jinqiao Coal Mine has discovered over 120 problems per month through video surveillance inspections. Jiangzhuang Coal Mine effectively investigates and deals with "three violations" through intelligent means.

According to statistics, as of early August, out of 77 normal production and construction coal mines in Shandong Province, 67 coal mines have established intelligent mining working faces, totaling 180 intelligent mining working faces. In 2023, Jinqiao Coal Mine not only won the first grade in the National Coal Mine Intelligent Chemical Working Face Innovation Competition, but also stood out in the "Excellent Case of Digital Mining Integration Development to Improve Intrinsic Safety Level" selection, becoming one of the 12 outstanding cases in the country, demonstrating its development status in the field of intelligence.

Intelligent mining reshapes a new pattern of safety production. Jinqiao Coal Mine actively explores new paths for intelligent mining, and has built a total of 7 intelligent fully mechanized mining faces. Through cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent remote electro-hydraulic control and intelligent variable frequency control of transport machines, the operational efficiency has been greatly improved, with a 30% increase in work efficiency. At the same time, we have innovatively created an intrinsic safety evacuation mode, realizing remote control operations for the pulling of the protective frame and the adjustment of the bracket direction, as well as the full unmanned operation of the single track crane one-stop transportation system, greatly reducing operational risks and improving the level of safety production.

Empowered by 5G, opening a new chapter in smart mining. In terms of 5G integration applications, Jinqiao Coal Mine is at the forefront of the industry, achieving full coverage of 5G signals in mines. By constructing the "1+1+N" intelligent control mode of "one brain, one network, N terminals", Jinqiao Coal Mine has achieved the integration of "seven modernizations" such as intelligent ventilation and popularization of AI videos, comprehensively improving the intelligence level of the mine. Based on 5G technology, Jinqiao Coal Mine has successfully developed a single track crane full network unmanned driving system and independently developed a coal flow linkage system, achieving efficient transportation from the ground warehouse to the mining face in a "one-stop" manner.
