1. The hazards of water seepage accidents

Affects the normal production order of the mine and causes certain economic losses; In severe cases, it can lead to flooding of wells and alleys, blocked evacuation routes for personnel, widespread power outages underground, difficulties in rescue work, and even cause casualties and huge economic losses.

2. Signs of water leakage accidents

1. Hanging red "(most old alleys contain rust, and the water seepage on the surface of coal seams or rock layers indicates the presence of old alleys nearby).

2. Sweating (hanging water droplets from the front, commonly known as sweating, symbolizing an old alley with accumulated water in front and around).

3. The air becomes colder (if there is a large amount of water accumulation and seepage in front of and near the mining face, causing a decrease in temperature).

4. Fog occurs (the hot air blown by the local fan meets the cold air on the work surface, forming fog).

5. When water seeps into the working face and roadway, it makes a "hissing" sound when rubbing against the coal wall.

6. The top plate of the working face is sprayed with water (also known as sprinkler head water), which increases (indicating that it is very close to the water accumulation area).

7. The top plate of the working face is pressed, the bottom plate bulges or cracks appear, causing water seepage (due to the high water pressure and water infiltration in the water accumulation area, the top and bottom plates of the excavation working face and the rock on both sides become soft, swollen, etc.).

8. The smell and color of water change, and the water color becomes turbid and has a foul odor (the accumulated water in old alleys sometimes contains hydrogen sulfide, which has a stinky egg smell, indicating that the water needs to penetrate the empty alley. If the water supply is sufficient, it is called "live water", which has no astringency or "redness", but is also a signal of water discharge).

9. Signs during drilling: During drilling, it is found that the coal rock has become soft, with sudden increases in water pressure and volume in the wall, incoming pressure, or borehole, as well as abnormal conditions such as top drilling.
