On May 29-30, the "2024 Mining Frontier and Information Intelligent Technology Annual Conference and the Third Representative Conference of the Mining Information Intelligent Professional Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Society" were successfully held in Changsha, Hunan Province. The theme of the annual meeting is "Empowering High Quality Development of Mining Industry with New Quality Productivity". Academician Wu Aixiang, Chairman Wang Qinghai, Chairman Wang Liguan, and more than 60 experts and scholars from major mining universities, research and design units, mining enterprises, and equipment and technology suppliers across the country gave wonderful presentations, sharing research results, new technologies, new equipment, and practical experience with the attending guests. The conference adopted a synchronous live streaming format both online and offline, with more than 500 experts, scholars, and well-known business figures from industries such as non-ferrous metals, metallurgy, gold, coal, and chemical from across the country attending the conference on site. Over 6000 network terminal devices watched the live broadcast of the conference.

 

 

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Wang Liguan, Chairman of the Mining Informatization and Intelligence Professional Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, Professor of Central South University, and Chairman of Changsha Dimai Technology Co., Ltd. Gao Huanzhi, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, delivered the opening speech, Ding Shijie, Deputy Minister of the Science Research Department of Central South University, delivered the welcome speech, and Wang Qinghai, Chairman of Jinchengxin Mining Management Co., Ltd., delivered the speech.

 

 

Wu Aixiang, an academician of the CAE Member, vice director and professor of the School Affairs Committee of Beijing University of Science and Technology, Wang Liguan, chairman of the mine informatization and intelligence professional committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, professor of Central South University, chairman of Changsha Dimai Technology Co., Ltd., and Wang Qinghai, chairman of Jincheng Mining Management Co., Ltd., were invited to make special reports to discuss the latest progress in the construction of intelligent mines in an all-round, multi angle and in-depth manner, and promote the development of mine informatization and intelligence in China. Wu Aixiang, an academician of the CAE Member, deputy director of the University Council of Science and Technology Beijing and professor, was invited to give a special report on "Intelligent Paste Filling Mining of Metal Mines". The report comprehensively expounds the theoretical basis of metal ore paste filling, systematically sorts out the key technologies of metal ore paste filling mining, looks forward to the innovative research direction of green mining of metal ore paste filling, and introduces the typical demonstration projects of green mining at home and abroad based on paste filling technology independently developed and constructed in China.

 

 

Wang Liguan, Chairman of Dimai Technology, delivered a special invited report on "Key Technologies and Applications of Mining Digitalization Operation Chain". Chairman Wang Liguan talked about the background and ideas of intelligent mining operations, focusing on the research content and key technologies of intelligent mining construction around mining industrial software, unmanned operation, mining safety intelligent technology system, and mining full scenario digital twin technology system. He also shared the application cases and practical experience of cutting-edge technologies in the industrialization of intelligent mining, focusing on the needs of mining intelligent construction, grasping the key technologies of mining intelligent construction, and empowering high-quality development of intelligent mining with technology driven technological innovation.

 

 

Wang Qinghai, Chairman of Jin Chengxin Mining Management Co., Ltd., was specially invited to share the report on "Creating New Quality Mining Productivity and Promoting High Quality Development of Enterprises". The core indicator of new quality productivity is a significant increase in total factor productivity. The report combines the three elements of new quality productivity - high-quality workers, high-tech labor materials, and a wide range of labor objects. It systematically introduces the practical content of Jin Chengxin in six directions: intelligent mining application, manufacturing and application of mining equipment, technological innovation, workers, fine management of the entire process, and international market. It comprehensively builds new quality productivity in mining and achieves the improvement of total factor productivity.

 

 

The conference will hold four sub forums: Intelligent Ventilation and Safety Environment, Intelligent Equipment and Scheduling, Industrial Interconnection and Intelligent Applications, Unmanned Driving and Low Carbon. More than 40 sub forums will present exciting reports covering the global mining development situation under the new situation, overall solutions for new mining infrastructure and intelligent construction, cutting-edge technologies and equipment for intelligent mining, key technologies and equipment for intelligent mineral processing development, mining safety, environment, and intelligent control technology.

The Intelligent Ventilation and Safety Environment Forum is hosted by Professor Li Zijun from Central South University and Professor Huang Junxin from Hunan University of Technology. Discussions will be conducted on the construction of intelligent mines and the safety guarantee of intelligent mining, as well as the requirements for energy conservation and emission reduction, green and efficient development, intelligent ventilation, and disaster emergency air control in mines.

 

 

The sub forum salon was hosted by Professor Wang Haiqiao from Hunan University of Science and Technology, and experts and scholars including Professor Rao Yunzhang from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Assistant Director/Senior Engineer Chen Wenwu from Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., General Manager/Senior Engineer Liao Wenjing from Hunan Mingsheng Safety Technology Co., Ltd., and Chairman/Senior Engineer Hu Yemin from Hunan Zhongkuang Jinhe Robot Research Institute Co., Ltd. exchanged ideas on topics such as intelligent mining, intelligent application of mining equipment, intelligent ventilation equipment, replacement of mining mechanization personnel, and informationization of mining safety.

 

 

The sub forum on intelligent equipment and scheduling is hosted by Kan Shizhe, Chief Product Manager and Application Expert of Jiangxi Xintong Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Peng Ping'an, Associate Professor of Central South University and expert of Changsha Dimai Technology Co., Ltd., at different time slots. Twelve wonderful reports will be presented in sequence, analyzing the current development status of intelligent equipment and scheduling in China's mining industry, summarizing the new progress in research and application of intelligent equipment in China's mining industry in recent years, and looking forward to the future development of China's mining industry, providing theoretical and technical support for the development of intelligent equipment and scheduling in the mining industry.

 

 

The sub forum on Industrial Interconnection and Intelligent Applications was hosted by Xu Junhan, General Manager of the System Department of Rongzhi Rixin Nonferrous Metals Industry, and Professor Li Guoqing from Beijing University of Science and Technology in different time slots. Liu Gang, Vice President of Anhui Rongzhi Rixin Technology Co., Ltd., Dong Wensheng, Information Director of Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd., General Manager of Zijin Zhixin (Xiamen) Technology Co., Ltd., and Chairman of Zijin Zhikong (Xiamen) Technology Co., Ltd., Geng Zhiqiang, Deputy Mine Manager of Dexing Copper Mine of Jiangxi Copper Industry Co., Ltd., and Wang An, Solution Expert of Changsha Dimai Technology Co., Ltd., delivered wonderful reports.

 

 

The sub forum on autonomous driving and low-carbon technology, with Associate Professor Bi Lin from Central South University and Professor Xu Xingliang from China University of Mining and Technology as the opening hosts, and Professor Gu Qinghua from Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology as the theme host for the sub forum salon. Nine exciting reports will be presented in sequence, showcasing cutting-edge theories and technologies of unmanned driving and low-carbon from multiple directions and perspectives, including low-carbon and zero carbonization mining, unmanned driving equipment and systems in mining.

 

 

At the exhibition, more than 20 upstream and downstream enterprises in the mining industry exhibited cutting-edge equipment, products, and solutions in the mining industry. Dimai Technology showcased its technological means covering resource evaluation, mine planning, planning, design, and engineering implementation, and innovatively integrated the production operation chain collaborative management mode formed by "business flow" and "information flow", as well as a complete mining digitization solution.

 

 

After the on-site report of the sub forum, more than 150 attending guests took different routes to visit and inspect the site of Dimai Technology and Ping An Electric. At Dimai Technology, attendees visited and exchanged experiences on cutting-edge technologies and equipment for mining intelligence development, including digital mining, intelligent control, safety supervision, virtual training, open-pit intelligent scheduling, and unmanned driving of underground mining trucks; At Ping An Electric, the attendees went to two production lines for mine intelligent ventilation control equipment and mine ventilation and dust removal equipment to learn about the remote control center and intelligent equipment for mine intelligent ventilation.

 

The successful convening of the 2024 Mining Frontier and Information Intelligent Technology Annual Conference and the Third Representative Conference of the Mining Information Intelligent Professional Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Society is an important practice to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the mining industry under the guidance of the national information development strategy and the correct leadership of the China Nonferrous Metals Society. It also provides an academic exchange and technology popularization platform for experts and scholars to jointly explore the scientific and technological development of information and intelligence in the field of mining construction, and promotes the development process of smart mining construction in China.
